This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 499 /2023(4 pages, in Arabic) that gives producers and importers a twelve -month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 7820 for “Energy efficiency of household and similar electrical appliances - methods for measuring and calculating energy consumption of residential dishwashers "(23 pages, in Arabic).

It should be noted that the Ministerial Decree No. 975/2014 (3 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/83 dated 29 May 2015, mandated among others the earlier version of this Egyptian standard.

This standard cancels and supersedes its last edition in 2014.

Worth mentioning is that this standard has been formulated according to National Studies.

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.

Date of adoption: 18 December 2023.

Date of entry into force: 5 January 2024
